World Environment Day Film Screening - JMC 2026
The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, MES Kalladi College (Autonomous), organized a film screening of _Birds with Large Wings_ on 5 June 2026 at the Satyajit Ray Audio-Visual Lab in observance of World Environment Day. The film, directed by Dr. Biju, highlights the Endosulfan tragedy in Kasaragod and its environmental and social consequences. Prior to the screening, Nashariya K introduced the film to the students, explaining its significance and relevance to World Environment Day.

On 5 June 2026, the Department of Food Technology observed World Environment Day by organizing a tree-planting program on the college campus. The activity aimed to create awareness about environmental conservation and the importance of a greener future. The program was led by Mrs. Athira A. S., Head of the Department, along with Department Coordinator Remya, other faculty members, and students of the department. The participants planted saplings on the campus and emphasized the need to protect and preserve nature. The event was successfully conducted with enthusiastic participation from faculty and students.

World Environment day Observation- Botany
