Inner Strength: A yoga Workshop
On behalf of world yoga day, Department of psychology conducted workshop in yoga in collaboration with Jeevani. Jeevani Counsellor Fathima Thasni held the session.
The Department of Psychology, MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, in association with Jeevani, organized a workshop on the theme “Inner Strength: A Yoga Workshop” on 27th June 2025. The session was led by Ms. Fathima Thasni, Jeevani Counselor, who guided the participants through various yoga practices designed to enhance physical well-being, emotional balance, and mental resilience. A total of 54 students and faculty members from the Integrated M.Sc. Psychology program actively participated in the workshop. The session was structured as a practical, hands-on experience, where participants were introduced to yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods aimed at promoting inner strength and mindfulness. The outcome of the program was highly positive. Participants gained practical knowledge of simple yet effective yoga practices that can be integrated into daily life to manage stress, improve focus, and enhance overall well-being. The interactive and experiential nature of the workshop helped students and faculty alike to connect deeply with the exercises, leaving them with a renewed sense of energy and calmness. Furthermore, the session encouraged a culture of self-care and highlighted the importance of holistic practices in maintaining psychological health. Overall, the workshop was impactful, promoting both awareness and practice of yoga as a valuable tool for strengthening the mind-body connection and fostering resilience in academic and personal life.
