Quantum Century Exhibition

On 3 February 2026, students from the Department of Physics, MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, visited the Quantum Century Exhibition as part of an academic enrichment programme. The visit included B.Sc. Physics first-year students as well as M.Sc. Physics first- and second-year students. The exhibition presented the historical development, fundamental principles, and modern applications of quantum mechanics through curated displays, demonstrations, and explanatory sessions. The exhibits introduced students to important concepts such as wave-particle duality, uncertainty principle, quantum entanglement, superposition, and the technological impact of quantum science in areas like computing and communication. The explanations provided during the exhibition helped students develop a clear and accessible understanding of the basic ideas and mysteries associated with quantum mechanics. The programme successfully created curiosity and scientific interest among the participants while enhancing their appreciation of the quantum world and its significance in modern physics. Overall, the visit proved to be an informative and inspiring learning experience for the students of the Physics Department.
