UGC NET coaching under PM UshA scheme

The Department of Forensic Science successfully coducted the fourth session of the UGC NET coaching programme under the PM-USHA Scheme was handled by Ms. Anusree Rajeevan, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Science, RR Institutions, Banglore on 20 December 2025. In this session, she completed Unit III of the UGC NET Paper II Forensic Science syllabus. In the session, she covered the Forensic Serology and DNA, including detection of blood stain, blood spatter analysis, blood grouping systems, DNA and RNA basic structure extraction and profiling, Wildlife forensics, Paternity and maternity testing. The session was highly interactive, and the students were actively participating in discussions and practice questions. The resource person also shared curated digital resources and reference guides to ensure students have access to high-quality content for their independent revision following the session. The resource person expressed her happiness in engaging with the students of MES Kalladi College, appreciating their enthusiasm and involvement, and conveyed her gratitude to the department for providing the opportunity to handle the session. The fifth session of the UGC NET coaching programme under the PM-USHA Scheme was handled by Ms. Anusree Rajeevan, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Science on 22 December 2025. In this session, she completed Unit IV of the UGC NET Paper II Forensic Science syllabus. The class covered the Forensic Toxicology and Alcohol, including analysis of ethyl alcohol, analysis of trap cases, Plant poison, Pesticides and insecticides, metallic poison, Narcotic and psychotropic substances. The session was highly interactive, and the students actively participated in discussions and practice questions. Special emphasis was placed on the analysis of Ethyl alcohol and illicit liquors, covering the legal limits, breath analyzer principles, and the biochemical markers used to determine alcohol concentration in forensic casework. The resource person expressed her happiness in engaging with the students of MES Kalladi College, appreciating their enthusiasm and involvement, and conveyed her gratitude to the department for providing the opportunity to handle the session.
