Report on Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) The Department of Business Administration, MES Kalladi College, organized a seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)” at Ambedkar Hall to create awareness among students about the significance of protecting innovations, creative works, and business ideas in the modern economy. The program commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Shabna M.K. (Assistant Professor, Department of BBA), who highlighted the growing importance of IPR in today’s knowledge-driven world. The resource person, Adv. Shabira, delivered an engaging and informative session, focusing on the fundamentals of IPR, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and geographical indications. She also elaborated on the legal aspects, procedures for registration, and the role of IPR in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and business competitiveness. Practical examples and case studies made the session more interactive and insightful for the participants. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Sujatha N.K., who expressed gratitude to the resource person, faculty members, and students for making the event a success.
